Two kinds of overload protection devices are commonly used on cranes

1. Lifting capacity limiter

2. Moment limiter

The main difference between the two is whether the crane has the dynamic measurement and control requirements of the boom amplitude. The former is equipped with various bridge cranes and gantry cranes; the latter is equipped with various types of jib cranes, such as crawler cranes, tire cranes, tower cranes, railway cranes, port portal cranes, wheel cranes, loading and unloading bridges and floating cranes.
